17 décembre, 2024 – Data Innovations® (DI) is providing advanced notice of product changes for Instrument Manager (IM).

IM version 8.17.00, its minor and patch releases will reach End of Sale (EoS) and End of Maintenance (EoM) on 1er janvier 2026, and will reach End of Life (EoL) on 1er janvier 2027.

Previously Announced: Les versions 8.16.20 et antérieures de IM atteindront leur fin de vie (End of Life, EoL) le 1er janvier 2026.

Qu’est-ce que cela signifie pour votre organisation ?

IM version 8,17 and older are considered legacy versions because they were originally developed and validated on components that are no longer supported or maintained. It is important for you to plan an upgrade from your current IM version to the most current IM version available. If your site is using legacy IM versions, you likely have outdated hardware, operating systems, and databases. While IM is a very stable product, legacy versions do not receive enhancements or cybersecurity updates and are more difficult to troubleshoot, maintain and support. Therefore, legacy versions carry a greater cybersecurity risk for your organization.

There is no additional cost for software to upgrade to your IM system if you have a valid Maintenance and Support agreement with DI. We want our customers to have the best experience with IM, which is why we encourage you to take advantage of our newest version.

What are End of Sale (EoS), End of Maintenance (EoM) and End of Life (EoL)?

End of Sale – Data Innovations will no longer issue new licenses for IM versions 8,17 and older.

End of Maintenance – Data Innovations will no longer provide maintenance releases, perform cybersecurity scans, security patches, or accept new driver requests or driver enhancements for customers using IM versions 8,17 and older. Driver-related requests will be accommodated for customers with IM v9.00 and newer.

End of Life – Data Innovations will no longer provide Maintenance and Support Services for that Product version, or associated applications and drivers. Data Innovations Support services will provide a best effort to restore Instrument Manager to a fully functional state.
