27 janvier, 2025 – Data Innovations (DI) announces the availability of Lab GPS™ v2.2. This latest version introduces mobile app push notifications, enhanced alerts, time zone support, and more. Lab GPS is DI’s first cloud-hosted SaaS product that addresses the problem of lab downtime by empowering laboratorians with all-in-one connectivity monitoring, notifications, and troubleshooting. Lab GPS is available only to direct DI customers in the United States using Instrument Manager™ middleware and is not available on business partner sold systems.

Lab GPS v2.2 continues to equip laboratory staff and Lab Information System (LIS) administrators with proactive tools to detect and resolve connection issues. This version of Lab GPS includes an updated mobile app that is available with the Lab GPS subscription. Compatible with both Android and iOS operating systems, the mobile app gives LIS administrators and support staff complete freedom and flexibility to monitor and troubleshoot lab connections from anywhere.

New features in Lab GPS v2.2 include:

• Mobile Push Notifications. The mobile app now offers push notifications that can be configured using Lab GPS’s robust alerting system to ease the burden of after-hours LIS monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Enhanced Alerts. Lab GPS will now trigger configurable alerts based on the connection InQ and SendQ values in Instrument Manager. This is particularly valuable for proactive alerting of network slowdowns or QMGR issues.
• Time Zone Support. Lab GPS will now support all time zones for alerts configurations. If Instrument Manager is licensed for time zone support, individual instrument connection time zones will be used for alerting based on the connection settings in Instrument Manager. This is particularly useful for enterprise laboratories spanning multiple time zones.
• Self-service Single Sign-on Setup. Users can now configure their organization’s single sign-on access without the aid of DI technical staff.
• Improved Production-Test Interfacing. Lab GPS can now better accommodate both test and production systems. Toggling a connection from an Instrument Manager (IM) production system to and from the IM test system is quick and convenient for interface validation purposes.
